Mahmoud Fayad had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1948 Olympics Featherweight class (332.5 kg); 2nd in the 1946 World Championships Featherweight class (317.5 kg); 1st in the 1949 World Championships Featherweight class (332.5 kg); 1st in the 1950 World Championships Featherweight class (327.5 kg).
