Biografía

Klaus Pohl was a Greco-Roman wrestler, who reached the fourth round of the lightweight class at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. In München four years later, he was placed seventh in the welterweight class. In 1966, Pohl was the first East German wrestler after World War II to win a European title, and in 1967 he won the bronze medal, both times in the lightweight class. From 1964-72 Pohl also won eight East German national titles, and also a silver medal. After his active career, he became a long-time coach at SC Dynamo Luckenwalde.
