Biografía

Dave Silk came from a strong athletic background, counting among his relatives, cousin Mike Milbury of the Bruins and grandfather Hal Janvrin of the Red Sox. But Silk followed Milbury to the hockey rinks. He was a star forward for three years at Boston University where he played for an NCAA champion, two ECAC champions, and helped BU win two Beanpot Trophies, as the best Boston-area college hockey team. After the Olympics, Silk left school to play pro hockey. His first year was spent mostly in the American Hockey League, but he played most of 1980-82 with the New York Rangers. He played in the NHL thru 1986, and finished his hockey career with four seasons in Germany. He then coached briefly at Boston University but has since gone into the financial investment world.
