Arthur Cumming was still a teenager when he competed at the Olympics and is believed to be the youngest skater at those Games. Cumming was British champion in both 1912 and 1914 and skated to fifth place in the 1912 World Championships. He also competed in the pairs event in 1912 finishing in 7th place, a feat he repeated in 1913 both times partnering Mrs. Cadogan. Cumming was involved in a motorcycle accident in May 1914 after which he contracted Tetanus and died. His Olympic medal was sold at an auction in 2008 for £3500.
