RESULTADOS DE PARÍSConsulta los resultados de Alexia Putellas en los Juegos Olímpicos de París 2024

Biografía

Alexia Putellas was born in Mollet del Vallès, a small city in Catalonia.

In 2005, she realised her lifelong dream of joining FC Barcelona, the club she and her family have always supported, as a member of the La Masia youth academy. However, the fairytale lasted just over a year as club restructuring meant there was no longer a team for her age group.

The midfielder moved across town to Espanyol and made her senior debut at 16. She stayed for five seasons before moving to Levante. And in 2012, Barcelona came calling again with Putella unable to resist the chance to rejoin her childhood club.

Since her return, the Spanish star has won trophies galore including eight La Liga F titles, two Champions League crowns, seven Spanish cups, and two Supercopa trophies. That form at club level saw her win the Ballon d'Or Féminin in 2021 and 2022.

Putellas' hopes of leading Spain to EURO 2022 glory were wrecked by a serious knee injury in the lead-up to the tournament. Despite Aitana Bonmati assuming a more pivotal role for club and country, and succeeding her as Ballon d'Or Féminin winner, she was part of the squad which won the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023 and the 2024 UEFA Nations League.
