German sports shooter Albert Preuß won a bronze medal in team trap at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, finishing 12th individually. Koch also competed in the running deer single shot and double shot events, finishing 23rd and 18th, respectively. Preuß later became Head of the Military-Industrial Experimental Station Neumannwalde and editor of Shooting System (which was the weaponry supplement for the Deutsche Jäger-Zeitung).
