The French art of living

Lyon exudes the charm of the French art of living in a city on a human scale. The Historic Site of Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998, takes you on a journey through more than two millennia of history. Built by the Romans on Fourvière Hill, the city panorama is a sight to behold from the Fourvière Basilica. On the banks of the Saône, the old town is sprinkled with Renaissance homes and criss-crossed by the famous traboules. Croix-Rousse Hill preserves the heritage of the Canuts, the silk workers of Lyon, and offers a glimpse into its weaving workshops. Nestled between the Rhône and Saône rivers, the 19th-century boulevards of the Presqu'île are perfect for wandering among boutiques, squares, fountains and monuments.

A more inclusive sports policy

Life itself is a combat sport for people with disabilities. Inequalities in access to sport can also be a hurdle. Our vision is to promote sports among these people, both within sports organisations and through courses, subsidies and niches, while fighting ableism. A more inclusive sports policy also hinges on adapting our facilities and sporting events to people with disabilities. Last but not least, dedicated evening events make the headlines. Together, all these efforts drive the evolution of alterity in our society.
