Paris 2024 Olympics: India’s tennis results and scores - full list
Rohan Bopanna, N Sriram Balaji and Sumit Nagal were the three Indian tennis players who competed at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
While Bopanna, playing in his third Olympics, paired up with Games debutant Balaji for the men's doubles event at the Roland Garros Stadium, Sumit Nagal was in action in men's singles. Neither challenge, however, progressed beyond their respective first rounds.

- Men’s doubles: Rohan Bopanna/N Sriram Balaji
The 44-year-old Bopanna and Balaji, 34, lost out to French pair Gael Monfils and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 7-5, 6-2 in the first round of the Paris 2024 men’s doubles tennis event. Monfils had come in as a last-minute replacement for Fabien Reboul, who withdrew from the event.
At his debut Summer Games at London 2012, Bopanna had paired up with Mahesh Bhupathi for the men’s doubles at London 2012 and reached the second round.
At Rio 2016, Bopanna featured in both men’s and mixed doubles tennis competitions. Bopanna and Sania Mirza lost the bronze medal match to miss out on India’s second-ever tennis podium at the Olympic Games. Meanwhile, he went down in the opening round with partner Leander Paes in his men’s doubles opener.
In the men’s singles event, Nagal is set for his second Olympics after a whirlwind start to his 2024 season. On his Summer Games debut at Tokyo 2020, he beat Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin in the opening round to become the first Indian to win a tennis singles match at the Olympics in over 25 years.
His Paris 2024 appearance, however, proved less fruitful as the Indian tennis player went down to another Frenchman, Corentin Moutet, in a marathon three-setter which lasted close to three hours. Moutet is ranked 68th in the ATP singles rankings while Bopanna is 80th.
Leander Paes is still the only Indian to win an Olympics tennis medal, bagging a men’s singles bronze at Atlanta 1996. It was also India’s first medal at the Summer Games in 44 years.
