Sunday 28 July at the Paris 2024 Olympics sees 13 more medals up for grabs as a huge swimming showdown takes centre stage.

Adam Peaty is back and aiming for the three-peat in the 100m breaststroke, but standing in the way of the two-time reigning Olympic champion is the People’s Republic of China’s Qin Haiyang.

Qin, 25, won the 50m, 100m and 200m world titles in Peaty's absence last year, while in Paris this time around the race for gold looks set to be at least a five-way battle.

USA’s Nic Fink is the reigning 100m breaststroke world champion, Italy’s Nicolo Martinenghi the 2022 world champ, while Dutchman and Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Arno Kamminga rounds off this quintet.

There are also high hopes for hosts France to finally end their wait for a swimming gold, with world record holder Léon Marchand out to win his pet event, the men's 400m individual medley.

Away from the pool, the skateboarding women’s street final pits Brazil’s Rayssa Leal - who took home silver aged 13 in Tokyo - against the Japanese duo: narrow favourite Akama Liz, 15, and 14-year-old world number one Yoshizawa Coco.
