Jamaica will be competing for gold medals on multiple fronts in the athletics at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The majority of Jamaican athletes at this year’s Olympics are appearing in track events at the Stade de France.

Three years ago, Jamaica won all nine of their Tokyo 2020 medals on the track: four gold, one silver and four bronze.

Hansle Parchment topped the men’s 110m hurdles, while Elaine Thompson-Herah claimed the women’s 100m and 200m double before winning the 4x100m as well.

The women’s 100m was in fact a Jamaica 1-2-3, with Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson winning silver and bronze respectively, and also clinching relay gold with Thompson-Herah and Briana Williams.
