Manon Apithy-Brunet of France claimed the gold medal in women’s fencing sabre individual at Paris 2024 with a 15-12 win over compatriot Sara Balzer in the final inside the Grand Palais in Paris. Balzer had defeated Ukranian Olga Kharlan 15-7 in one semi-final while Apithy-Brunet defeated Choi Sebin of the Republic of Korea by a score of 15-12 in the other to set up the fully French finale.
