The Olympic Games Paris 2024 men’s basketball tournament is officially over, a remarkable event that was one for the books.

The United States — led by LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant — claimed its fifth consecutive Olympic title in the French capital, extending a winning streak that began at Beijing 2008.

They defeated hosts France 98-87 for the gold on Saturday, 10 August, who are now on their third Olympic silver medal in the event, while Serbia — fronted by Nikola Jokic — went home with the bronze after beating Germany 93-83.

With the dust now beginning to settle on an epic tournament featuring some of the sport’s biggest-ever stars, Olympics.com runs the rule over the top statistical performers at Paris 2024 as well as those that went above and beyond.

Most points in a single game

  1. Steph Curry (USA) - 36 points vs Serbia, 95-91
  2. Giannis Antetokounmpo (GRE) - 34 points vs Canada, 79-86
  3. Bruno Caboclo (BRA) - 33 points vs Japan, 102-84

Triple-doubles

LeBron James and Nikola Jokic produced the fourth and fifth-ever Olympic triple-doubles while competing in Paris.

James, having notched a triple-double previously at London 2012 (vs. Australia) became the first person ever to achieve the feat twice at an Olympic Games.

Kevin Durant: USA Basketball history

Durant, now the first four-time Olympic gold medallist in men's Olympic basketball history, also wrote another record while on the hardcourt in Paris.

During the United States' quarter-final against Brazil, the 35-year-old surpassed the legendary Lisa Leslie to become Team USA's leading Olympic basketball scorer.

Durant finishes Paris with an Olympic career total of 518 points.

'Chef' Steph Curry: Saving the best until last

Curry had a comparatively slow start to his first-ever Olympic campaign in Paris, but once the 36-year-old found his feet the superstar was nigh unstoppable.

Curry scored 60 points across the semi-final and final, making 17-of-26 three-pointers to help the USA win their fifth consecutive Olympic crown.
