The International Olympic Committee announced Wednesday (15 May) the production of three new series in collaboration with Netflix, including Simone Biles: Rising, a look at the gymnast’s highly anticipated return to the Games.

“The upcoming Netflix sports series offer a captivating glimpse into the lives of Olympic athletes who are at the heart of the Olympic Games, delivering inspiring stories and perspectives,” said Jerome Parmentier, IOC vice president for Media Rights and Content Partnerships. “These series will build excitement ahead of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, which will be broadcast by our Media Rights-Holders across the globe.”

Simone Biles: Rising is a four-part series, with two episodes premiering in July. The series is being produced by Religion of Sports, in association with the Olympic Channel.

The other two series are Sprint, season two, which will follow the lives of the fastest people on the planet, including Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles and Shericka Jackson, and Olympic Men’s Basketball, which will “give all access to the sport’s promising hopefuls and medal contenders from across the world as they first battle to qualify for Paris 2024 before setting their sights on the Olympic podium.”

Sprint’s second season will premiere following Paris 2024 and is produced by Box to Box films and in association with the Olympic Channel, while Olympic Men’s Basketball is produced by Words & Pictures, the Olympic Channel and Higher Ground Productions.
