William Findlay played for the US at both the 1924 and 1928 Olympics, and had one other cap for the US, playing in a friendly against Poland just after the 1928 Olympics. A winger, Findlay began his soccer career in Scotland with Third Lanark AC. He played in the American Soccer League (ASL) from 1928-30, starting out with Galicia SC, before moving to the New York Nationals, and then playing his final season with Brooklyn Wanderers.
