个人信息

A 200 metre specialist, Vladimir Lovetsky made the Soviet national team in 1972, when he finished second in the 200 behind Valeriy Borzov at the Soviet Championships. Selected for the 1972 Soviet Olympic team, Lovetsky reached the quarter-finals of the 200 and later won a silver medal with the Soviet 4×100 relay team. He also competed at the 1973 Universiade, where he won silver with the Soviet 4×100 relay team. Lovetsky never won a Soviet title but, in addition to his 1972 200 silver, won a 200 bronze in 1975 and 4×100 relay silvers in 1971 and 1973. Lovetsky finished his sports career in 1978 and later worked as an athletics coach in Homel, Belarus and as a factory worker at the Slutsk Cannery.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.2 (1973); 200 – 20.83 (1972).
