Trine Krogh was, together with Grethe Mathiesen, the leading female swimmer in Norway in the early 1970s. In the period 1969-74 Krogh won 51 national titles, second to Irene Dalby (97 titles) on the Norwegian all-time women’s championship list. During her career she set 76 Norwegian records, She was an excellent all-round swimmer, with her national titles coming in freestyle (21), medley (15), butterfly (14) and backstroke (1). Krogh won three gold medals at the 1973 Nordic Championship. After her swimming career she married and gave birth to one daughter and one son. Her uncle Lars Krogh was the leading Norwegian freestyle swimmer in the 1950s, winning 15 Norwegian championships titles in addition to 14 titles in water polo. He later became president in the Norwegian Swimming Association.
