个人信息

A long time curler from British Columbia, Sandra Jenkins won the B.C. Provincial Championships in 1982 and 1983 as second on a rink (team) skipped (captained) by Catharine Shaw. Her success past that point was more sporadic, but she did take the British Columbia Provincial Championships in 1989, as an alternate with the Debbie Shermack rink, and in 1993 as third on Shannon Kleibrink’s team. She resurfaced with Kleibrink at the 2005 Olympic trials, this time as an alternate, and joined the rink as they represented Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympics, the oldest member of the team at 44. At the curling tournament the Canadian women won a bronze medal after a difficult competition, and Jenkins played in several matches whenever one of her teammates fell ill. After the Olympics she skipped her own rink for two years before joining Team Allison MacInnes. With MacInnes she went undefeated at the 2009 British Columbia Provincial Championship until the final round, where they lost against Marla Mallett’s rink.
