个人信息

Paul Hoffmann had a long career as a top-flight coxswain. He prepped at Phillips Andover and Bryanston in England, and coxed boats from those prep schools at the Henley Regatta in 1962 and 1964. In both 1968 and 1972 he was the cox for the U.S. eight at the Olympics, leading them to a silver medal in 1972. He also won a gold medal with the eight at the 1967 Pan-American Games and coxed Harvard to four straight wins at the Eastern Sprints, starting from 1965. Hoffman served in the Peace Corps for a time after college, but returned to Harvard to earn a J.D. degree in 1974 and worked as a lawyer. He also helped coach the U.S. team at the 1977 World Championships in Amsterdam.
