Leonard Bull was a pistol shooter who represented Kenya at the 1964, 1968, and 1972 Olympics. For many years he worked as a gunsmith for Shaw & Hunter Ltd. in Nairobi, and also wrote articles for Guns magazine in the 1960s. Because of political uncertainty in Kenya, Bull moved to England in 1960 where he worked for Holland & Holland as a gunsmith, but he returned to Kenya after one year.
In the early 1970s Bull moved to the United States and Shreveport, Louisiana, recruited there to work as a gunsmith. He eventually moved to Trinidad, Colorado, where he started his own company, Casting Company, which made custom guns and castings. He was also an instructor at the Trinidad School of Gunsmithing.
