个人信息

West German sports shooter Karl Wenk was nominated for the 1960 Roma Olympics, but only as a substitute. He then competed with the mixed German team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, finishing seventh in the prone small-bore rifle. Four years later, then representing West Germany, he came in 13th in the same event. In 1962 he was World Champion in the individual event and with the team.

In 1967 Wenk set a new world record with a 600 possible. He also claimed four European titles and 16 West German ones. In 1963 Wenk was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, the highest German sports award. Wenk later took over his father’s enterprise, a roller engraving company in Brombach in Baden near the Swiss border.
