Jarvis Hunt was a renowned Chicago architect, who graduated from Harvard and MIT. Most of his projects were in the Midwest, although not exclusively, including the clubhouses of several well known golf clubs, such as the Chicago Golf Club and the National Golf Links on Long Island. Many of his works were listed in the National Register, among which were the following: Indianapolis News Building (1910), Kansas City Star Building 1910), Joliet Union Station (1911-13), Union Station in Kansas City (1913), Commerce Trust Building in Kansas City (1914), Ayers Bank Building, in Jacksonville, Illinois (1914), and Union Station in Dallas (1914-1916). Hunt later retired to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1927.
