个人信息

George Strange was a member of the Toronto Argonaut Rowing Club when he was selected to represent Canada at the 1904 Summer Olympics. There, alongside Arthur Bailey, Phil Boyd, Thomas Loudon, Donald MacKenzie, Pat Reiffenstein, Colonel Rice, William Wadsworth, and Joe Wright, Sr., he lost to the Vesper Boat Club of the United States in the final of the coxed eights. As there were only two teams in the event, however, Canada earned a silver medal. In 1906 he was living in Seattle and volunteered to help coach the University of Washington’s rowing squad when the school could not afford to hire a coach. A graduate of the University of Toronto, he was a businessman by career.
