个人信息

Recognized as one of Slovakia's best hockey players, František Gregor played almost his entire career for Slovan Bratislava, appearing in 480 games, in which he netted 77 goals. He never claimed a Czechoslovakian title, although Slovan came close in the 1961-62, his club losing out on the title in the last game. Gregor was regularly selected for the strong national team, eventually collecting 47 caps (7 goals). His only international title came in 1961, when Czechoslovakia claimed the European title. This event was held concurrently with the World Championships, where Gregor and his team earned a silver, losing to Canada on goal difference. Gregor earned two more World Championship bronzes, one in 1963 and 1964, when the Olympics featured as such. After 17 years at Slovan, he left to play at Košice, where his younger brother Milan was also active. After his playing career, Gregor worked as an engineer. In 2004, he was inducted into the Slovak Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
