Her older sister Sandrine has represented France in shooting and competed in three events at the 2018 World Championships in Changwon, Republic of Korea, while her cousin Olivia won gold in the women's team 300m rifle prone competition at the 2010 World Championships in Munich, Germany. :
"For me, shooting holds a mirror up to who you are. No exterior elements are responsible for what I produce at the range. My pistol is not a living being, the target is always the same, the pressure is always evident. I am the master of my fate, I must assume responsibility for my errors but also my successes. To dare, to achieve, to never give in, to fight stress and not let yourself be influenced by what's happening around you, that's what shooting is about for me." (celinegoberville.fr, 12 Apr 2012)
:
She was flag bearer for France at the opening ceremony of the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. (rmcsport.bfmtv.com, 12 May 2015)

In 2014 she received the National Order of Merit in France. (leparisien.fr, 25 Jun 2014)

General
ALMOST QUITTING
Her father Daniel Goberville, who has also served as her coach, had to dissuade her from quitting shooting in 2015. She took a three-week break from the sport following a disappointing performance at a World Cup event in Munich, Germany, but found that her motivation to train had not returned once she started training again. "For the first time I was not missing shooting. I had the impression of not knowing how to shoot anymore. Fortunately, my father kept faith in me. Without him I would not have come back. He has given me so much, it was just unthinkable to let him down. Only his retirement could make me stop now." (leparisien.fr, 22 Feb 2018)

VOCATION SWITCH
In 2011 she put her studies in physiotherapy on hold in order to pursue her other sporting passion of horse riding. She enrolled at the Equestrian Centre South Buis in Cires les Mello, France, where she took a diploma in equestrian studies for ponies. In April 2011 she bought her first pony and in February 2015 she signed a civil contract with the French Army, with the intention of working as a riding instructor.
