Also find out who home favourite Naomi Osaka, Wimbledon champ Ashleigh Barty and two-time Olympic gold medallist Andy Murray will play in their first-round matches.

Novak Djokovic’s quest for an elusive Olympic gold medal will begin with a first-round match against Bolivia’s Hugo Dellien.

The Serbian is on track to become the first man to complete a calendar 'Golden Slam' of all four Grand Slams and the Olympic Games in the same year.

Steffi Graf is the only woman to do it, with Andre Agassi, Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams achieving career Golden Slams.

With the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon titles for 2021 safely locked away, he now just needs victory at Tokyo 2020 and the US Open later this summer to get the job done.

Djokovic has played in three previous Games with bronze in the singles at Beijing 2008 being his best result to date.

But victory in Tokyo is far from a foregone conclusion at the Ariake Tennis Park.

Great Britain's reigning double Olympic singles champion Andy Murray faces a tough opener against against Canadian 15th-seed Felix Auger Aliassime.

In the women’s draw, second-seeded Naomi Osaka will launch her bid for Japan’s first Olympic title in tennis against Zheng Saisai of China.

Australian top seed, and recently-crowned Wimbledon champion Ashleigh Barty will start her Olympic campaign against Sara Sorribes Tormo of Spain.
