Joy for France as they become Olympic bronze medallists after taking down European champions Serbia.

Reversing the EuroBasket result in which Serbia became 2021 European champions to runners up France, it was the Gallic side who came out on top in the women's bronze medal match at the Saitama Super Arena at Tokyo 2020.

The French won 91-76 after the Serbs fought back to make it a nine-point game when they were 13 points down at the end of the third quarter but France kept their noses ahead in the fourth to claim the bronze.

The United States take on Japan in the gold-medal match on Sunday (8 August) on the last day of the Games.
