Биография

A National 50-miles champion, Cyril Alden was a member of the second-place British team in the team pursuit at Antwerpen in 1920. In the 50 km track race he was hampered by a collision between Henry George and Thomas Harvey just before the finish line, but Alden fell across the line, securing the silver medal ahead of Piet Ikelaar, who protested the result unsuccessfully. In 1924, Post Office worker Alden won his third silver medal in the same race.
