Биография

Adolphe Bousquet proved to be one of the best rugby footballers during the early years of the 20th century. As scrum-half for AS Béziers he won Olympic silver medals in 1920 and 1924. His first international game outside of the Olympics came in 1921 against England in the Five Nations Tournament, and two more were to follow. A fairly small and light player, he later appeared in the colors of Racing Club de France and Stade Piscénois. Bousquet later ran a sporting goods store in Beziers, together with his nephew Roger Bousquet, who maintained the rugby tradition and became French Champion and runner-up at the World Championships.
