Austrian sculptor Adolf Wagner von der Mühl studied at the München Academy of Fine Arts and at the Wien (Vienna) Academy of Fine Arts. He then worked as a freelance sculptor. From 1922 he named himself Wagner von der Mühl in appreciation of his Mühlviertel home. In 1923 he became a member of the Vienna Secession. Wagner von der Mühl produced big stone and marble sculptures, wooden sculptures and small bronze figures. In 1949 he was appointed a professor.
