Marczyński studied in Krakow and traveled several times in the 1930s to Paris. He painted mainly landscapes, portraits and still lifes, in the styles of Cubism and Coloration. He also painted geometric figure compositions, interiors, landscapes; and eventually changed to abstract works and the creation of image-objects, relief systems, assemblages, and spatial compositions. From 1945-79 he was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
