Inside Out Project
My name is Ariel, I am from Argentina and so happy and excited to be here and be part of the cast of the ocean choreography team! I am a professional actor and for me to be performing inside the Maracanã in an Olympics is so so unique! I love Brazil, its people, culture and history, so it's just such an honor to be here and be able to represent it in the opening of the games! All the volunteer time given here will be rewarded with the amazing feeling we will have when performing in there with all the lights, music and action. Can't wait, it will be fascinating!
Inside Out Project
I am Carla. I am Carioca and this is the first time I volunteer. I decided to do this because I have always been so in love with the Olympics and all sports, so this will definitely be a highlight in my life - "I, Carla, was able to be part of opening of the Olympic games in Brazil, my country!". I am part of the Asian group in the opening. I definitely want to volunteer in other Olympic games around the world. In my IOP picture I will do a "surprise" expression - for me it was a surprise to be called to be in the opening ceremony when actually I had applied to volunteer in the games. But I loved it!
Inside Out Project
My name is Josefina, I am carioca. I have dedicated a lot of my time to volunteer work since I was 19. But this time it's special, it's the Olympics! This opportunity is unique! The past days have been a lot of hard work, I come to rehearse almost every day. I will be in the choreograph of the ocean in the opening ceremony, and I'm so excited to do this. On my IOP photo I will just smile and be myself.
Inside Out Project
I am Samela. I am currently on vacation. I have volunteered other times in life and I wanted to do it again, but in the Olympic games, so that is why I am here! In volunteering there's a lot of hard work and pressure, but in the end its all worth it with all the fun and the people I get to know! For me working in such a massive big event like the Olympics is an experience I will carry on for life and I believe that such experiences build me as a new, better, person. I used the "silence" expression on my photo. Sometimes there is just so much pressure and stress that the best thing to do is stay in silence and think about the best thing to do.
