Biografia

Paul Crapez was a Belgian cyclist who raced on the track at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, finishing in a tie for fifth in both the individual and team pursuits. Crapez was Belgian amateur champion in individual pursuit in 1966-68. In 1969 he won the amateur stage race, the Ronde van Limburg, in Belgium, and he then turned professional.

Crapez rode for Flandria-De Clerck-Krüger, a Belgian team, late in 1969, but then joined Bic, the French team, in 1970. He later rode for Ruberg in West Germany and Bovy-Dubble Bubble in Belgium in 1971-72. Crapez raced on both the track and roads as a professional. In 1970 he was runner-up in the omnium and individual pursuit and third in the Madison at the Belgian Elite Championships. He won the Belgian individual pursuit title in 1971. He won several smaller races and stages on the roads as a professional, but retired after the 1972 season.
