Miguel White was a hurdler who competed at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, winning a bronze medal in his specialty, the 400 hurdles. At the Far Eastern Games, White won gold in the 400 hurdles in 1934 and a bronze in the 400 flat in 1930.
After the 1936 Olympics, White joined the Philippine Army as a lieutenant in the 52nd Infantry Regiment. In August 1942 he was listed initially as missing in action, but this was later changed to killed in action. It was felt that he was killed during the initial landing of Japanese forces into the Philippines.
