Mino Bozzano learned to box at the Aurora Gym in Chiavari where he trained for almost his entire career. Bozzano never fought for an Italian or international title but was among the best-known Italian boxers in the 1950s and 60s.

Bozzano won a bronze medal as a heavyweight at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics before turning professional. He boxed as a pro from 1957-62, winning many of the early bouts by knockouts. One of his most memorable fights was in Milano in 1958 against the American Sifa Kivalu where both fighters finished out of the ring and were taken to hospital. After winning his first 25 bouts, Bozzano retired in 1962, finishing with a professional record of 31 wins (15 by KO) and 3 losses.

Bozzano opened a restaurant together with his wife Kristina but in 1996 it closed. In 2005 he was the victim of an assault and failed to regain consciousness. The family, and his friend Lorenzo Lenzini, asked for help from the Italian Boxing Federation for economic support to pay his medical bills. Bozzano passed away a few years later at 75-years-old in Rapallo.
