Geoff Vanderstock won the 1968 Olympic Trials 400H, breaking the world record in the process. At the AAU meet he was second in 1966, fifth in 1965, and sixth in 1967. Vanderstock competed for Mt. San Antonio College and then Southern Cal. He was third at the 1967-68 NCAAs competing for the Trojans. Vanderstock was ranked in the US top 10 from 1965-69, and ranked #1 in 1966 and 1968.
Vanderstock settled in the San Fernando Valley, where he became a prominent real estate broker. He also appeared in several movies and on television, among them the 1979 movie track & field movie Goldengirl, the Sylvester Stallone / Kurt Russell movie from 1989, Tango & Cash (playing a federal agent), and on the FOX comedy television series, Mr. President.
