バイオグラフィー

German boxer Hans Schönrath came in second at the 1927 European Championships as a heavyweight. At the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics he lost his quarter-final against the silver medalist Nils Ramm of Sweden. In 1925 and 1928 Schönrath was German amateur champion, and also as a professional in 1930-31. He drowned when the hospital ship DS General von Steuben was sunk during World War II on 10 February 1945. By profession Schönrath was a smelter. His brother Jakob was also a known professional in the 1930s and 1940s.
