バイオグラフィー

After winning several Austrian youth and junior championships from 1974-76, Hans Enn made his World Cup début in 1976. He enjoyed a long career in World Cup, retiring only after the 1989 season, after several knee injuries, which caused him to endure five knee surgeries from 1989-91. Enn competed at two Winter Olympics, 1980 and 1984, winning a bronze medal in giant slalom at Lake Placid, but did not finish either the slalom or GS in 1984. He competed at four World Championships (1978, 1982, 1985, 1989), with a best finish of fifth in giant slalom at Bormio in 1985.

Enn won six World Cup races and had 22 podiums during his career, with GS his best event. He won five World Cup giant slaloms, and appeared on the podium 16 times in that event. His best event finish was a second in giant slalom in the 1979-80 season, the same season he was seventh in the overall World Cup. Domestically Enn won five Austrian titles – giant slalom in 1978 and 1983, slalom in 1978, and combined in 1977 and 1978. After he retired from racing, Enn opened a hotel in Hinterglemm and worked developing skis for Blizzard. In 1996 he was given a gold medal for services to the Austrian Republic.
