バイオグラフィー

English-born Cyril Coaffee, who emigrated to Canada in 1905, came to international prominence in 1922. At the Canadian Championships, he won the 100 yards in 9,6 seconds, tying the World Record. He also won the 220 yard race, making for a double that he would repeat in 1926 and 1927. Coaffee made the semi-finals in both sprint events at the 1924 Olympics, as well as in the relay event. He attempted to qualify for the 1928 Olympics as well, but an injury at the trials prevented him from succeeding, and Coaffee ended his track career. Aged only 48, he died in 1945 of a heart attack. Eleven years later, he was inducted in Canada's Sport Hall of Fame.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.8 (1920); 200 – 21.6 (1924).
