バイオグラフィー

Christin Cooper, known as “Super Coop” to her teammates, grew up skiing in Sun Valley, Idaho. She became known internationally in 1981 when she placed fourth in the overall World Cup. Her best year on the circuit was 1982 when she won three medals at the World Championships (two silvers and a bronze), won four World Cup races, and was third in the overall World Cup standings. Cooper then broke her tibia in the 1983 season but recovered to ski in Sarajevo. After her silver medal in the 1984 Olympic giant slalom, Sun Valley resort renamed the run “Silver Fox” on Seattle Ridge to “Christin’s Silver.” Cooper retired from competition after the 1984 season, with seven World Cup victories and 26 podium finishes in World Cup events. She has since worked as a television broadcaster for alpine skiing.
