Biografia

In 1988 Tatjana Mittermayer won the Olympic freestyle skiing moguls demonstration event and she competed another three times at the 1992-98 Winter Olympics for reunified Germany. After placing fourth (1992) and sixth (1994), she won the 1998 silver medal in moguls, and then retired one year later. She then became national coach with Enno Thomas and ran a ski camp with him. At the World Championships she won gold in 1988, silver in 1991, and three bronze medals in 1989, 1995 and 1997. In 1997 Mittermayer also won the moguls overall World Cup, while in 1988, 1990 and 1996 she was runner-up, and placed third in 1989, 1995 and 1998. On a national level she won 12 titles. Until 1985 she was a member of the German alpine national team, but due to knee problems she had to give up alpine skiing.
