Biografia

Sanjeev Rajput is an Indian rifle shooter who competes in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions category.

Born January 5, 1981, in Jagadhri, Haryana, Sanjeev Rajput was introduced to sport shooting at 20 when he was serving in the Indian Navy.

He first tasted international success at the 2004 South Asian Games, winning three golds and a silver medal.

After winning the national championship in 2004, Sanjeev Rajput then won two bronze medals - one each at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and 2006 Asian Games. 

The Indian shooter set a new national record en route to qualifying for the 2008 Beijing Olympics for his first appearance at the Summer Games, where he was unable to make the final in the 50m Rifle Prone event.

Sanjeev Rajput was conferred the Arjuna Award in 2010 and won a team silver at the Asian Games in the same year.

He won his first ISSF World Cup gold medal in 2011 at Changwon, South Korea, creating yet another national record and qualified for the 2012 London Olympics. Sanjeev Rajput had a challenging outing at London 2012 as he was ousted in the qualifying rounds.
