Biografia

Pierre Colnard was a shot putter who competed at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. Colnard was an eight-time French champion in the shot, winning in 1960-61, 1963, 1965-67, and 1969-70. He also competed at the 1970 European Championships. During his career he set 18 French records, and was the first Frenchman to surpass 17 metres (1961), 18 metres (1965), and 19 metres (1968).

Colnard did not start his competitive career until he was 29, after returning from war in Southeast Asia. He remained involved in athletics his entire life, as a member of several French athletics clubs, and a member of GIFA (Groupement des Internationaux Français d'Athlétisme).

Personal Best: SP – 19.77 (1970).
