The 18-year-old Nataliya Bochina won silver medals in the 200 metres and 4×100 relay at the 1980 Olympics. Her 200 silver medal time of 22.19 stood as a world junior record until 2003, when 17-year-old Allyson Felix ran 22.11 in the rarified air of Mexico City and, as of 2014, Bochina’s time is still the European Junior record and Russian national record.
