Worldwide Olympic Partner Procter & Gamble has teamed up with the Greater London Authority (GLA) to launch the “P&G Capital Clean Up” campaign ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The campaign encourages Londoners to come together in a show of community spirit and pride for a series of 22 clean-up events taking place across the capital from March to June.

An estimated 1,700 volunteers are expected to help make London sparkle for the world’s arrival this summer, while the positive impact of the capital-wide clean-up will be enjoyed by all even after the Games.

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said at the launch of the campaign: “I very much look forward to pulling together to make our neighbourhoods clean and proud, creating a long lasting positive image of London ahead of the Olympic Games and beyond.“
