Under the agreement, Panasonic will supply the Sochi 2014 Olympic venues, Olympic Villages and the Organising Committee’s offices in the Olympic Park with approximately 5,000 household appliances, including kettles, coffee-machines, microwave ovens, irons, refrigerators, washing machines and thermo pots.
The agreement was signed by Sochi 2014 President Dmitry Chernyshenko, Senior Managing Executive Officer of Panasonic Corporation Takumi Kajisha and Shigeo Suzuki, the General Director of Panasonic Russia Ltd.
Panasonic has been an Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the audio and visual equipment category for more than 25 years, and Suzuki is pleased that the company has been able to offer further assistance to the Games in Sochi.
“We are extremely proud of our longstanding collaboration with the IOC, through which people from all over the world are able to watch the spectacular events of the Olympic Games,” he said. “I am especially delighted that we are able to expand our Olympic presence in Russia.”

The Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games begin on 7 February next year.
