IOC President and President of the Swiss Confederation meet in Lausanne at The Olympic Museum
International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach welcomed the President of the Swiss Confederation, Ignazio Cassis, to The Olympic Museum on the occasion of the Swiss National Day celebrations.

During the meeting, the two discussed questions of mutual interest. President Cassis reiterated the importance of the IOC and the Olympic Movement for Switzerland, where the IOC is based, and President Bach thanked him for Switzerland’s hospitality. They also spoke about the current geopolitical situation and the role of sport as a bridge-builder in troubled times.
