The Ice Cube built to host the curling competitions of Sochi 2014, continues to function as a curling venue. Since the Olympic Winter Games, the Ice Cube Curling Centre has hosted international curling competitions such as the World Curling Championship in April 2015, as well as national curling events such as the Russian championships, and regional men’s and women’s curling competitions. The venue is also used as a multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility, as well as a training arena for Russia’s curling team. In 2016, the venue hosted the World Cup and the World Championship of acrobatic rock-n-roll. In 2017, it also held the opening and closing ceremonies of the 3rd Winter Military World Games.
