Fisht Olympic Stadium
The Fisht Olympic Stadium, built to host the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympic Winter Games Sochi 2014, was refitted after the Games to stage Russian and international football competitions, with a 45,000 capacity.

Since then, the stadium’s facilities have been used as a training centre for the Russian national football team. In June and July 2017, the stadium hosted matches of the FIFA Confederations Cup and in 2018 it hosted four first round group games, one round of 16 match, and one of the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup.
The Olympic stadium was originally named after Mount Fisht, a peak in the Caucasus range of mountains. The silhouette of the venue, designed by British architects, resembles a snow-capped mountain peak.
