Coca-Cola and Samsung team up with Innsbruck 2012 Youth Olympic Torch Relay

The streets of Austria’s capital city Vienna were buzzing this weekend with the news that Innsbruck 2012 was in town to celebrate the National Day of Sport. Along with 400,000 sports fans, it was the perfect place to unveil Coca-Cola and Samsung as Presenting Partners for the Youth Olympic Torch Relay.

The 2012 torch bearers will cover over 3,500 kilometres in 18 days and will visit all nine of Austria’s Federal provinces; making sure that the whole nation gets involved in the spirit of the Games!

Innsbruck will also make history when the Olympic flame ignites for the third time in the city that has already hosted the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 and 1976 and will now host the first ever Winter Youth Olympic Games.

The torch will be lit in Greece on 17 December and will make its journey around the country before arriving in time for the Opening Ceremony on 13 January 2012.
