Eighteen Danish champion titles in track and field; gold medal in 400 m and silver in 800 m at the European championships in Oslo in 1946; 8th in final of 800 m at the Games of the XIV Olympiad in 1948 in London

Member of the Board of the Danish Military Sports Association; President of the NOC (1981-1984)
